Position Overview
The HR Business Partner will play a crucial role in supporting HR operations while contributing to strategic projects such as policy rewriting, process improvements, and employee engagement programs. The successful candidate will have experience in California healthcare HR, labor relations, recruitment, and the ability to pivot between operational tasks and strategic initiatives. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance, supporting talent development, and refining HR processes to meet organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
• Recruitment & Onboarding: Manage the recruitment process, from posting job openings to screening candidates and coordinating interviews. Lead the onboarding process to ensure new employees have a seamless start, including conducting orientations and facilitating paperwork.
• Employee Relations: Act as the primary contact for employees and managers regarding workplace concerns, policies, and disputes. Help resolve conflicts and provide guidance on employee relations, ensuring alignment with company policies and labor laws.
• Labor Relations: Support labor relations by administering collective bargaining agreements, resolving grievances, and collaborating with union representatives as needed.
• Policy Development & Rewriting: Work closely with HR leadership to review, update, and rewrite HR policies to ensure they are compliant with California labor laws and best practices. Ensure policies are clear, accessible, and reflect the healthcare district’s mission and values.
• Process Improvement & Strategic Thinking: Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and efficiency. Implement changes that enhance HR operations and improve employee satisfaction. Support broader organizational goals by aligning HR strategies with business objectives.
• Project Management: Lead or assist in HR-related projects, including policy revisions, employee engagement programs, and performance management improvements. Ensure that projects are delivered on time and meet organizational objectives.
• Performance Management & Talent Development: Assist in the performance review process, including providing guidance to managers on evaluations, performance feedback, and development opportunities. Help build and implement career development programs.
• Compliance & Legal Support: Ensure compliance with California employment laws, healthcare regulations, and union agreements. Regularly update and enforce HR policies to stay aligned with legal requirements.
• HR Program Support: Contribute to the development and implementation of HR programs, including employee recognition, health and wellness initiatives, and engagement programs. Support management in conducting layoffs, grievance meetings, and investigations.
• Ability to Pivot: Handle multiple responsibilities, shifting between routine HR operations and larger strategic initiatives, such as policy rewriting and compliance updates. Be adaptable in managing day-to-day tasks while driving long-term improvements.
Additional Information Shift : Day Salary: $60,000.00 to $95,000.00 per year
