Fremont Healthcare District as a Clinical Educator, RN/FLOAT RN. In this role, you will support the onboarding of new nurses and advance the professional growth of nursing staff across Acute, Emergency Department (ED), and Procedural areas. Located in the picturesque town of Mariposa, CA, our hospital offers a serene and fulfilling work environment, just minutes away from Yosemite National Park.

Job Summary:
• Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer, oversee the onboarding process for new nurses and facilitate the professional development of nursing staff.
• Provide instruction and coordination for the training center and collaborate with the Education Department to develop learning opportunities for nursing and clinical staff.
• Utilize your expertise to create and implement educational programs and ensure they meet the needs of the staff.
• Work with minimal supervision while managing various tasks and objectives related to nursing education and clinical practice.
Essential Skills:
• Knowledge of nursing theory and principles of adult learning.
• Ability to integrate evidence-based principles into nursing practice.
• Demonstration of clinical competence and current knowledge in the field of emergency nursing.
• Ability to assess learners and develop personalized plans for their continued development.
• Creativity to adjust educational strategies as needed to enhance individual performance.
• Experience with curriculum design and outcome evaluations.
• Ability to plan, implement, and teach courses effectively.
• Enjoyment in educating, mentoring, and precepting new nurses, providing regular feedback and guidance on clinical performance.
• Familiarity with guidelines such as CMS, CDPH, Title 22 Scope of Practice for LVN and RN, with the ability to translate this knowledge into practice and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Registered Nurse (RN)
• Associate's Degree in Nursing or related field
• Equivalent on-the-job education, training, and demonstrated current competence in acute care and emergency department (ED) nursing will be considered in lieu of a BSN.
Experience:
• Three or more years of nursing experience, particularly in Emergency Nursing.
• Demonstrated advanced role in Leadership, Education, or Clinical Specialty.
Licensure / Certifications / Registrations:
• Current California RN license.
• BLS Healthcare Provider Certification.
• ACLS Certification.
• PALS Certification.
• NIHSS Stroke Certification.
• NRP Certification (or obtain within 6 months of hire).
Preferred:
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Master’s Degree in Education or Nursing.
• Certifications such as CEN, PCCN, MICN, CCRN, or CTRN.
• Basic CPR Instructor Certification.
• ACLS Instructor Certification.
• PALS Instructor Certification.
• Equivalent on-the-job education, training, and demonstrated current competence in acute care and emergency department (ED) nursing will be considered in lieu of a BSN.
