Position: Respiratory Therapist
Department: Cardiopulmonary
Job Summary:
• Oversee daily operations of the Cardiopulmonary and Outpatient Procedural Departments.
• Actively perform clinical duties while supervising department functions.
• Supervise staff and manage scheduling.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
• Maintain high standards of respiratory care, diagnostic testing, and outpatient services.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to coordinate patient are.
• Drive performance and efficiency in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment.
Essential Skills:
• Perform advanced respiratory therapy procedures, including EKGs, ABGs, stress tests, and ventilator management.
• Supervise staff scheduling, onboarding, performance evaluations, and licensing compliance.
• Ensure safe and effective use of respiratory equipment and maintain supply inventory.
• Collaborate with providers on patient care plans and interpret physician orders accurately.
• Uphold quality control, infection prevention, and department-specific standards.
• Participate in departmental budgeting and maintain accurate billing and documentation.
• Respond to emergencies with clinical expertise and composure.
• Foster a positive work environment that supports growth and teamwork.
Minimum Qualifications:
• High School diploma or GED
• Completion of an AMA-accredited Respiratory Therapy program
• 10+ years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
• 3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience
• Current California Respiratory Care Practitioner license
• RRT or CRT (NBRC eligible)
• BLS and ACLS certifications (active)
