We celebrate diversity and want to be a responsible community member. We actively encourage small businesses, minority owned firms and women's business enterprises to provide service to our organization whenever possible.

We attempt to make information on forthcoming purchase and contract opportunities available to the general public, but we encourage small and minority owned businesses to contact our Purchasing and Finance Departments directly for opportunities.

As part of our purchase decision making, we take into consideration those large firms who sub-contract with small and minority businesses as part of their business operation.

We encourage consortiums of small and minority businesses to bid on contracts that may be too large for individual small and minority firms.

When appropriate we will use organizations such as the Federal Small Business Administration and the U.S. Department of Commerce's Minority Business Development Agency to solicit or use small and minority firms.
