Covered Preventive Services

Under Medicare, MediCal, and most private insurances, you're covered for an annual Wellness Exam (annual physical). And, that's not all that is covered. In addition to your annual Wellness Exam, many preventive care services for adults and children are covered without your having to pay a copayment or coinsurance or meet your deductable, when the services are provided by a network provider.
The covered services include immunizations for adults and children, and many other services and screenings. In fact, there are 15 covered preventative services for adults, 22 for women, and 26 for children.

Some people may think providing preventive care is costly. Actually, preventing illnesses is far less costly than the cost of providing emergency care and hospitalization for treatment of illnesses that have gone undiagnosed and untreated.
