Ryan White Program
Did you know that this December 1st marks the 35 year anniversary of World AIDS Day?
World AIDS Day: Remember and Commit
This World AIDS Day, let's stand together for knowledge, compassion, and change. Here's a roadmap to engage and make a difference:
1️. Educate Yourself: Watch powerful documentaries like "How to Survive a Plague," "Common Threads," and "Angels in America." These narratives offer profound insights into the history of the HIV epidemic.
2️. Stay Informed: Google articles on the current state of HIV care and explore Living Well with HIV on TheBody.com. Knowledge is a powerful tool for progress.
3️. Prevention Matters: Familiarize yourself with Safer Sex practices, PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis), and PEP (post-exposure prophylaxis). Awareness leads to action.
4️. Get Tested: Take charge of your health. Ask your healthcare provider or call Mariposa Public Health to schedule an HIV test. Knowing your status is a powerful step towards prevention and care.
5️. Spread the Word: Wear a Red Ribbon proudly and engage in informed conversations with your loved ones. Share what you've learned, break the stigma, and foster a community that supports those affected by HIV.
Let's make World AIDS Day a catalyst for change. Together, we can create a world where HIV is better understood, prevented, and ultimately overcome. ❤️ #WorldAIDSDay #KnowYourStatus #EndTheStigma #WeAreJCFHD
